Hexagonal boron nitride is a semiconductor with a direct band gap of ~5.9 eV and has been used extensively as an insulator for the production of ultrahigh mobility 2D heterostructures composed of various types of 2D semiconductors (e.g. WSe2, MoSe2, etc). The layers are stacked together via van der Waals interactions and can be exfoliated into thin 2D layers, down to monolayer h-BN.
All of our products at Grolltex are fabricated and packaged in a Class 1000 cleanroom. Adhering to our strict procedures and processes allows us to achieve high-yield, high-quality CVD graphene and hexagonal Boron Nitride (hBN) production, resulting in exceptional graphene monolayer material quality at an affordable price. Every batch of graphene and hBN is analyzed meticulously and comes with a datasheet unique to your specific batch of graphene, so that the customer always knows the metrics that are most important to them. The individual specification sheet provided for each unit of graphene or hBN sold by Grolltex contains optical images of graphene from the batch transferred onto Si/SiO2, FET mobility on Si/SiO2, sheet resistance, and Raman spectra. We are happy to provide the batch-specific sampling spectra txt/scv files to our customers upon request. Each graphene or hBN sheet is vacuum sealed in a clean and inert nitrogen environment. Secondary packaging of our graphene material under positive nitrogen atmosphere in a moisture-proof, light-proof, static-proof cleanroom bag ensures prolonged shelf-life when not in use by the customer.
Do you need assistance with Raman measurements on your custom/modified hBN sample? We can help! Please inquire at support@Grolltex.com or call (858) 368-9065 for details.
To ensure the maximum shelf life of your hBN sample, it is best stored under vacuum or in inert atmosphere (Argon or Nitrogen) conditions once the vacuum sealed package has been opened.
3” x 3” hBN/copper foil pieces are secured to their underlying plastic containers with four small Kapton tapes, one in each corner. Gently peel the tape or cut off the corners of the foil to release the foil from the plastic container. Please recycle your containers when they are no longer needed!
Please keep the product serial number you receive with your sample, as it will assist us if you have inquiries about the product. The serial number (S/N) is located on the clear vacuum-sealed bag in which your hBN sample arrived.
We have taken the guesswork out of your project by analyzing every piece of hBN that leaves the door. Take advantage of the data files available for your hBN batch. Contact us if you require additional characterization of your hBN.
If you have modified a piece of hBN you have received from GrollTex and need Raman measurements taken of your sample, we can assist you. Please contact us at support@Grolltex.com or call us at (858) 368-9065 for more information.
